Ki Blasts are a key feature of Dragon Blox Ultimate.

Appearance & Requirements[]

Whenever the user presses E (or presses the corresponding button on mobile) they will fire a small yellow blast of energy forward. Ki Blasts have effectively no cooldown, so they can be used continuously. However, they require a certain amount of energy to fire. Unlike skills, the energy cost to fire a Ki Blast scales with stats. This means that a player with 0 stats in energy and a player with 1,000,000,000 stats in energy will have roughly the same percentage of their energy bar used up from firing a blast. This makes firing Ki Blasts the only way for a sufficiently high-level player to drain their energy, as even the highest-draining forms and the costliest energy skills would take hours to do the same.

Usage & Power[]

Ki Blasts serve as a way for new players to gain stats in energy without having to do quests, with each blast granting roughly 100 stats with no rebirths and low stats. This quickly becomes a nearly useless tactic for gaining stats once the player gets far enough in the game, though, as Ki Blasts end up barely contributing to one's stats once they get to the millions and beyond.

Ki Blasts are a decent source of damage throughout the game, as their power also scales with stats. They are fast and reliable, can be used basically at all times, and can be fired while the player is moving, another trait unique to them. Part of the reason Energy Volley is so strong is because of how it is just a barrage of Ki Blasts, though its energy cost does not work the same way.

The main disadvantage to using Ki Blasts is the energy drain, as overusing them will drain the user's energy quickly compared to using melee or most energy skills. With low energy, it can be harder for the user to move fast, use skills, or even stay in their form. It is best to use Ki Blasts at least somewhat sparingly.
