Hello Dragon Blox Ultimate fandom,
I have noticed a slight miscalculation/incorrect measurement of how long it takes to master a form. Here, I will walk you through it. You will need some Algebraic knowledge to fully understand what I am talking about. Feel free to correct me if you think that I have made a mistake. I am human too and we make mistakes :)
I personally like to fact check sources such as this wiki and when I came across that page listing the times required to master a form, I wanted to check it. The first time was correct, 150 seconds required to master a form to the first level. What I discovered after I conducted my research is that the data listed on the page was incorrect.
I had a feeling that the time required to progress to the next level of mastery was exponential growth. It definitely was not linear because then the amount of time would be increasing by the same increments.
How I timed it: It took me a while to figure out the most accurate way of timing how long it took to master a form, but I then realized that from levels 0-14 of mastery, there is Ki/energy drain while you are in a form. I used that to my advantage and approximated each time you were drained of energy, it was about/is one second.
I previously unlocked MUI and had not used it, so it was a clean slate for me to record the data I collected for levels 1-14. (Level 15 is not included because at that level, all energy drain is negated so I will have to find another way to time it accurately.
Actual calculations: Ok I hope I haven't lost you yet, I can explain this as accurately as possible, and you can understand this.
I transformed into MUI and immediately noticed that the energy drain was 36 energy per second (and yes I adjusted my calculations when my energy consumption was halved). My energy was fully charged at the beginning of my transformation. I kept watch on my mastery bar and transformed out once the level was completed. What I did then was I took my max energy and subtracted how much energy I had left after I reverted back to base.
I collected this data up to level six and put all of it into desmos graphing calculator to help me visualize it and see how accurate it was. I also used the quadratic equation to aid me in seeing how accurate it was.
After I put in the all the data, an approximate equation was produced. We can now calculate the amount of time needed to master forms per level. All the equations I have used are listed below.
Energy max - energy expended after one level was completed = total energy expended
Total energy expended/the amount of ki drain per second = total amount of time passed
Quadratic formula calculated after I had input all the data:
Y = 44.8336X^2 - 187.57X + 232.18
This equation is 99.76% correct so there will be slight error if you do calculate it.
Y will be how long it takes to complete one level of mastery in seconds.
X is the level you are currently trying to master.
Ex: If you are trying to master level 5, input the number 5 and calculate for Y
I hope this educated you (although this is pretty useless info and a lot of effort to find out something meaningless). Please do tell me if you find a mistake in my calculations. To the person who basically put in random times for each level completion, please do your own research next time and don't spread false information. I know you had good intentions, but put in the work and you will get results.
Thank you for your time
Edit: Ok so I've never mastered a form past level 10 and I've noticed that it takes a lot longer for 11-12 than what my equation predicted so I'll try to figure that out
Edit 2: I've realized my mistake. I have not collected enough data to make my conclusion accurate. I apologize and will continually update the equation as I collect more data. Please be patient because I am just one person.
